S T A R S and left regret beneath the EARTH she walked on.❞

                       “ L O O K …  you’re CLEARLY having a shitty night ,
so i’m gonna leave before you say something you’re gonna
                                    regret — because i’m serious ,  you’re going to need a friend
when you decide to crawl out of whatever
                                                      H O L E you’re digging yourself . ”

he gave her one final glance ,  a shake of his head following
as he turned around to leave .  he didn’t know WHAT THE FUCK
happened or WHY it happened ,  he just knew that he wasn’t
interested in beating around the bush anymore .
if she didn’t want to talk about it ,  then he wasn’t going to push it .

she crumbled onto the ground, her hands traveling
up to her ginger locks as she gripped at the loose
buns that adorned the top of her head. she couldn’t
take it anymore, the glances she’d caught in passing,
the burning mourning she’d concealed from the world,
the heart aching feelings she’d struggled to conceal
each time he smiled her way, the guilt that weighed on
her shoulders ever since she realized she had
singlehandedly ruined any chance she had with him.
she couldn’t deal with any of it ANYMORE.

what made it burn most was that he didn’t c a r e.
not anymore, not like he did before. he was her FRIEND.
nothing more. and she couldn’t make him, she didn’t
deserve the attention. so instead of running towards him
and telling him everything, how she felt, how she wanted
nothing more than to run into his embrace, how she was
barely holding her life together, how she was terrified
every waking moment of every waking day, how she missed
her father, how she didn’t know how she was going to
get through the rest of the year…

she just gave up and let him walk away,
                            accepting that things were NEVER
                                                         going to be the same.
